What Did You Get Sooooo Wrong ?

I arranged for someone to come paint my place today. It was a Philippino guy that worked for me when I was still at work. There was a wake up call at 6.45 this morning. He was on the doorstep. His English is so much better than when I worked with him. Problem is I thought he meant 6 ish tonight, he is such a fast thorough worker. Mondays is a full day for me, it was his day off work. I got it so wrong. He went home, feeling miffed I suspect.I hope he calls me back, gutted.

Where do I start? Too many incidences to list here, but at least I managed to do some things right, I think ;-)

how many workman start work at 6pm ? I don't know any and yes if I was him I would put you down as a nutter LOL ! maybe when he was on the doorstep you should have arranged for the following Monday or was he so pee-ed off his body language told you there would be no second chance ?

I know quite a few Dee Sa, especially those that want extra work once they have finished their day working for the boss.
I've had electricians, plumbers, mechanics, painters, tilers and builders arrive at the end of a working day and put in a few more hours.
Not all at once, thank goodness.

It seems that this chap is keen, which must count for a lot !

Ring him back and make another appointment...this time make sure you both agree on the exact time ! Good workers are hard to come by these days.

He is a great worker, as I know 1st hand I sent him a text and he replied, no date set yet, I will let him cool off lol
