Clearing All Safari History

On ipad mini. Sometimes after clearing history in settings, a page pops up that I am supposed to have deleted! Is there a more extensive way of clearing everything, I don't want to loae my passwords or bookmarks. Tia.

Try clearing history using safari. Open safari, tap the bookmark icon, 2nd item down is history tap that and at the bottom of list is clear. Press it

just proves i know nothing about ipads - i thought you wanted to delete elephants, tigers and zebras

Thanks sycamore, tried that ... It was empty ! Is that a more thorough way of clearing everything? Nice once excelsior ...
