Hi, just asking if 6 x bags of ready to mix concrete @ 25kg weight each would be too much weight to carry in the boot/hatchback of Nissan Micra 1400cc. Thanks for info if you can help.
It's about the weight of 2 adults, so I would expect it to be OK. There should be a small plate fixed to the car which gives: Gross Vehicle Weight Maximum train weight (car + trailer) Max front axle load Max rear axle load It may be under the bonnet or fixed inside one of the door pillars.
Looking around internet I found a maximum boot capacity of 206kg on the most restrictive of the Nissan Micra 1400ccs and you are wanting to load 150kg so should be ok.

Put a cover on the front passenger seat & even the weight, If the police trail you, It's a stopping point if your tyres appear to swell that the car is over weight.
Sorry I didn't get back until now. Thanks everyone for your help I'm thinking that perhaps it needs the back seat down and spread the weight into the cab instead of just putting them in the boot would be better. Thanks for your suggestions.
What you want to carry is equal to 23/24 stones or two average adults, so plus you as the driver should be no problem in a car designed to carry four adults, but do spread the weight if you can.
