I have never had a chest infection in my life - however for about 2-3 months now I have found some of my symptoms very like the above although definitely not severe. I can't draw a deep breath without pain in my back.

Would I be correct in saying nothing can be done only time will heal. Thank you for any answers. JjCon

^^^^ no coughing, no phelgm or blood etc. Just that wee bit of shortness of breath.
I had pleurisy last year and it was one of the most painful things ever - it was excruciating to take even a shallow breath. What you are describing doesn't sound like it, but you do need to see your GP as 2-3 months is way too long to have a problem like yours
My mum was hospitalised with pleurisy. I doubt you have it.
Pleurisy has many many causes, and the symptoms that you describe, without any other symptoms e.g fever or cough are unlikely to be caused by..pleurisy.

if you are that worried, then see your GP for a chest X-Ray

no I am not worried - just wanted to find out other opinions. I know Mrs Overall you had it and it was bad for you. Thanks Sqad - if it gets any worse ie can't breathe etc I will go to the doctors.
conn. good morning. you have had symptoms for 2-3 months, a wee trip to gp. that's what they are there for.
