Wish we could smell it! Nearest chippy down in Scarborough and only smell is the sea when the wind is out of the N & E. We get some nice fresh fish from it though. Welcome to t'north anyway.

Isn't it great to come back! Been here a month. We still have no wardrobes, but I don't care. Hope to paint a wall tomorrow, but yesterday went walking up beautiful Farndale to see the daffodils whilst they were still here.

To those not in the know, Farndale is just above Kirkbymoorside, and the original native English daffodils (the sort Wordsworth wrote about) have spread all the way down the little River Dove. A lovely walk of about 3 miles with a tea shop half-way (or a pub if you go a bit further).

We are almost directly inland from Filey, in the Wolds, and have to go to Hunmanby for t'grease and chips. Welcome home.
