It's not smutty, Diz: it's horological:)

I must own up to a certain amount of disappointment right now!
Best thing to keep anything ticking is a G-String my friend.
I've never owned my own G-String however I have taken a few off (broken strings on a guitar...)
eek !

I have a vintage Caro stop-watch that was missing a spring which is an integral part of the mechanism that resets the hands to zero. So I went to the local music store and bought a 0.51mm guitar spring instead of spending a lot of money at a clock/watch supply house. It works just fine, and doesn't even need to be tuned up:)
For sale. 1 second hand G-string, been kept in good nick;-)
melv16: I'm in Sheffield. Can I come and look at your G-String. I need to see it on though; just to check the wear and tension.
I love the Craic. :-)
