I wanted a manicure and polish that lasted more than a week and a friend recommended Shellac manicure. Has anyone has this done?
What is put on your nails and does it come off easily. Thanks.

I know lots of people who have had this done and it does give you a lovely high shine finish that will last through a holiday. I've been put off by the fact you have to go back to the salon to get it removed.
Yes its a polish that goes on and you then put your fingers under a heat lamp for it to set and it can last 2-4 weeks. You then have to have it removed by the therapist. But it is pretty straight forward and the spring colours for this season are LUSH!
My daughter never goes back to the salon to have it removed. A decent Nail Polish Remover works, fine.

Thank you all for your replies, very interesting ! I think I shall give it a try.
You can buy this type of thing in Boots now, you have to buy the starter pack which includes the lamp but once you have it you only need to buy the polish.
