The article adds....

//An Ipsos-MORI poll of Scottish voters on Wednesday predicted it [the SNP] could win all Scotland's seats next week and wipe out Labour in what was once its stronghold.//

Last one out , turn the lights off
And the next poll will show Ed 5 points ahead.

Totally impossible to call.

Interestingly though The Sun seems to be coming down on the Conservative camp.
how can he see it with his blinkers on ?
Baz, people will only leave if labour/SNP become the rulers.

Otherwise they wil lcontinue to pile in here as neither Ed not Dave have the Balls (Well Ed sort of has :-) ) to do anything about it. Or did you mean the lights out in Lithuania or Poland?
"by Thursday seven of the 10 pollsters covering the May 7 election had Cameron's Conservatives ahead by varying degrees."
Needs to be much more to beat a SNP/labour Government
Except in Scotland, where the Sun is totally for the SNP and hang the Tories...

Electoral Calculus is currently predicting the Tories will end up maybe five seats ahead of Labour -- I did a bit of digging and this includes maybe as many as 50-odd seats which remain very close races (not always Labour v. Tory, though). Even a week out, almost all results remain possible.

Who cares about the Sweaties?

Seriously though, the Sun is only interested in flogging papers, hence the two totally different headlines.

Scotland is SNP, that I believe is a forgone conclusion as clearly do The Sun. In fact in printing that Scottish edition like that they reinforce the belief that the SNP will be wagging England, NI and Wales, thus pushing Tory votes.

But as you say, too close to call still. Next Poll wil lbe labour in front.
only the 5 most prominent parties are fielding candidates in my constituency; it fell to labour in 1997 but in 2010 returned a tory MP. the present incumbent is standing for re-election.

in the 5 weeks or so of official campaigning, i've not seen any canvassers, never mind the candidates themselves; plus i've only received one campaign leaflet (from Labour, delivered by someone who looked as if they were 12).

if this is the level of interest shown by the candidates, why should i be interested in them? are they so sure of victory they don't need the electorate?
I predict the following spin from mikey..

It's no longer important that the Tories will win more seats than Labour (from now on and forever more thanks to the SNP). What matters is that the 'Not Tories' will win more seats than the Tories.
Beginning to feel glad that we have not, as yet, sold OH's house in France! If it is a Labour/SNP coalition then we may flee back!!!
Got room for a little one jourdain.I am glad,at the age of 60+, to have bothered to learn French.Could not contemplate the UK under Millipede.

Ludwig, //I predict the following spin from mikey.. //

I think Mikey's ignoring this.
Not only are the blinkers on, but he's now got his fingers in his ears.
