When i try to sign in to MSN it will only let me if i disable Norton internet security. any idea why and is it safe to use msn with Norton disabled ?

There should be an option somewhere in Norton to allow msn to access the internet. Not sure where though, don't use it myself.

Personally I'd say you'd be better uninstalling norton altogether, and install AVG Free, Kerio Personal Firewall, and Ad-aware personal.
