Cameron dismissed Brand as "a joke" and while I have no time for him, he speaks to an awful of young people and has influence. It was a smart move by Ed to go on the Trews, despite the sneering.
Cameron's comments should have been his "Gillian Duffy moment", but you can insult the young in an election campaign with impunity it would appear ...

Brand means nothing to me but it would be unwise to assume he means nothing to anyone; he seems to have attracted support from a lot of those hovering between Don't Know and Don't Care, and if a few thousand of them take his advice it could made a difference, yes.
