Can anyone tell me which is the best internet security/antivirus for my Windows 8.1 pc. Thanks in advance

Kapersky has topped the recommendations by the mag Computer Active for the past three years. I've just installed it on desktop and 2 laptops, and it seems fine.

I go with Avast; others speak highly of AVG.

Make sure you click on the left one, the free one, which as far as I am concerned is plenty good enough. The others are just free trials.

Kaspersky is the best then Bitdefender, Eset and Avast

If you want to pay for it....Kaspersky (although it's free if you bank with Barclays on-line)
If you don't want to pay...Avast.

Windows 8.1 has security built in in the form of Windows Defender, which is at least as good as most of the alternatives, is light weight and unintrusive.

^^^^Not so. All the comparative tests performed by independent testing labs conclude that it's mediocre at best and shouldn't be relied on.

I have Windows 8 and the only antivirus I've downloaded is Baidu Antivirus. I've had no problems with it and it helps with system repair and improving my computer speed.
