Gig Of The Week - V E Day Concert

With the Brighton Festival in full swing, there could be lots of nominations.

But last night, we went to the Classic FM VE Day concert at the Royal Albert Hall. Katherine Jenkins was fantastic, and so was Wynne Evans (remember, the guy from the old "Go Compare, Go Compaaaaaaaare!" adverts).

All presented by the very jolly Myleene Klass and John Suchet.

Sounds wonderful, Jayne - I love the Royal Albert Hall - but Katherine Jenkins' voice somehow grates on me. I know it's fantastic - but for some unknown reason I just don't like it. Never have been able to figure out why.

It's odd though, Jane. We go to the opera quite often (sometimes to Verona - magical! Have you been?) - but hers is the only voice that grates on me.

I haven't been, Naomi (despite spending a lot of time in Italy with my half Italian other half). It looks wonderful.
