Ok.
I was told that, although it is a known side effect, what happened to me is quite rare and not helped by the fact that I smoke. I had an x-Ray taken and it showed that there are another two pieces of bone that have become dislodged, and I can expect them to make their escape, sometime.
I have a slight infection and have been prescribed two antibiotics to clear it up.
I have to go back in two months time to see how it has progressed. He said that if it was really necessary, they could operate and give me a new upper bone or a bridge, if you see what I mean.
The fact that I have stopped taking Alendronic Acid he thought, was neither a good or a bad thing. The effects of the drug will stay in situ for a long time.
It just has to be monitored.
I hope this helps, bednobs and let me know how you get on with your extraction.
