Mini Ipad Split Virtual Keyboard

My mini iPad has suddenly developed a split virtual keyboard half is on the left side & the other half is on the right side of the screen with adverts in the middle, I have tried shutting it down & then starting up again thinking it would re-boot but no change. Can any A/Ber suggest a remedy to cure this please.

The orher way to split or join it is to use 1 finger from each hand and pull the keyboard apart or pull it together.
