.....last night on the balcony in Howth......no sound at all.....not a hint of a breeze....no traffic...... just the lapping of the sea on the shore beneath.....and one lethargic sea bird.....and the thought that I will set off at sunrise for Kerry......x

Bliss today? Getting home after having to find my way to the mammogram unit at York Hospital, discover where it was, parking etc.. Then fought my way out to the ring-road at the start of rush hour...believe me, bliss it was to drive through the fields on either side and arrive at out village. Going to bed now, also fairly blissful.

Ah the taxi driver will be but a sweet Dublin memory.....I'm driving myself to Kerry.......straight to Dan Murphy's bar in Sneem......not for the Guinness you understand....just for the tradition....

York Hospital was where I ended up when I fainted on the railway station.....nice to get out of the traffic, J....and the peace of your own bed...sleep well....x
