Holiday Package To The Usa For 2 Weeks....

My friend wants to take her Mother to the States for her 60th birthday next July, and depending on the cost, would like to visit New York, Niagara Falls and maybe Florida or Las Vegas if not to expensive.

Anybody know of any, or used a holiday company that are reasonable.

Niagara, New York, Florida and Las Vegas are thousands of miles apart. Unless your friend wants to spends days in a coach, or many hours on planes, it might be better to narrow the itinerary a bit !

New York, Niagara and New England would make a nice trip, especially if they go in October, for the fall colours. To miss these Autumn would be great shame.

Las Vegas is normally included in a round trip called "The Golden West" or something similar. It would probably include the Grand Canyon, Yosemite, LA and San Francisco and this would be my choice. Amazing scenery out West !

I've been all over the States and driven coast-to-coast twice but I have never been to Florida, so I can't help you there.

Are you looking for a tour or would your friend be happy to use a hire car and do some driving herself?

I would start at Toronto for Niagra as the Canadian side is much nicer than the US side! then fly to New York for a few days and then move on to the final destination. You mention Florida but do not mention where they wish to go in the state, the pan handle is interesting and less touristy and the keys have their charm is there a part/city they wish to visit?

I am not sure that they still do it but when my late wife & I last did both the New England & The Golden West tours with Cosmos we discovered that by including a third person to share we all three saved a chunk of money on the deal. What happens is you agree to share hotel rooms for 3 instead of 2 & believe me all rooms in the states contain 2 huge beds & as we all dressed & undressed in the bathroom there was no embarrassment all round. My wife & I slept in one bed whilst my sister in law used the other bed.
