Wise move probably. name an ex-leader of any party over the last 30 years who has left the job with their reputation in tact. Seems like a role that you have your time in the sun but will always fall from grace eventually. Maybe he's bright enough and young enough to not want that.

Sqad...as I have mentioned on another thread, he has cited the effect on him and his family, if he should be successful. Who can blame him ? Our Media chews people up and spits them out on a regular basis. I recall what happened to Peter Tatchell, which was disgraceful.

Chuka Umunna doesn't appear to have the support of the unions - not left wing enough. We could be about to witness the lid finally closing on Labour's self-igniting coffin.
