Morning all, slightly grey out there but reasonably mild and dry. The grass is all cut and the pterydactyls are throwing up quite a dawn chorus.

Sparrows out here Boaty are like "vermin of the sky". Get into our roof and nest, make a hell of a mess and stink, breed like rabbits and gang up on native birds.
Quite like seeing a hawk get a feed.

I can understand that oz. They were in decline here, but seem to be making a bit of a comeback.

Just an ideal day for my garden lad coming to do a weeding about 10 . Best time to come as it is a sun trap after mid day .

It's the Indian Myna birds that are becoming a real feral pest here these days.
Over running nearly every other species.

I think all is okay, today out with the weedkiller and take on the apron here, well its a doughnut around an island....

There are plenty of hawks here oz. It's quite common to see buzzards riding the thermals over the river. Also hawks of various makes hunting over the open land, and Kestrels hovering over the motorway looking for a snack.

Weather bright and sunny and not even chilly. No plans today, apart from sleeping and schlepping...worked hard all week, so Sunday is very much a day of rest for these these days !

I'm off to sort out lunch ready for cooking. Got a beef roast today. Not quite sure what I'm going to do with it yet.

Rarely visit Pubs DTC, unless I'm on hols. One drink at lunchtime just ruins me for the rest of the day. Although, if I am going to sleep anyway...... !

Had a dreadful day in Bristol....knocked on close to 350 doors and could only find two people to take part in my study on eating out ! Walked my poor legs off, and it was quite warm as well. £6:50 for the privilege of re-entering the Land of My Fathers as well......ruddy cheek !
