Selfish Or What ?
32 Answers
I congratulate AOG, TTT & other Tory supporters on their party's win in the general election. From posts in A/B however I find it difficult to understand their apparent complete non-recognition of the underprivileged in our society. Is it that they are completely unaware there are people who need our care & compassion or are do they truly believe in the saying ''I'm all-right Jack to hell with the rest ''? If the latter is true then I must state categorically they must all be selfish to the core & I personally want nothing to do with them & will no longer wish to associate with them in any way from now on.

I take exception to being called selfish, just because I choose to support a political party that want to keep moving forward rather than a party who would wish us all to be slaving in the mines, sweating in the foundries etc, pleased in our minds that we have the strength of the unions, who's advantage it is to keep us at that level.
If you are referring to not opening our doors to all and sundry, who will in time turn this country into a third world country, then yes I am happy to support a party who are prepared to prevent this from happening.
I am also prepared to support a party who are unselfish enough to at least give their citizens a choice if or not we stay in the EU, whereas Labour don't think we are intelligent enough to make that decision.
What are you doing for the unprivileged Ron?

Oh on reading your thread once again, you are not sure of your accusations then?
But if you still want to stick to your word regardless of it being true or not, then go ahead don't associate with me, because you certainly wont be missed by me.

Neither. They are aware that there are people who need our care and compassion and they are perfectly willing to provide that - but they're sick of paying for the freeloaders, and rightly so.

Were you one of the rent a mob saddos who demonstrated in Westminster last week? But then again perhaps it wasn't you, they were all young people who probably hadn't a clue what they were rioting about but doing their best to make a name for themselves for the hell of it.......no doubt sponsored by the Loser Party's Red Len.
The majority of people voted for the Tory party who they were sure would help to get us ALL out of the ruin that Labour created for this country the last time they were at No10. The electorate are not fools. Ed Mils tombstone and other gimmicks also went a long way to convince them of that too. There are always under-privileged in every society who cannot cope or manage their livelihoods, the state is there to sponsor those who are trying to better themselves. And you are saying anyone who does not vote Labour as lacking compassion? I'm all right Jack? There were the other parties who lost too but we don't hear of them complaining. Do you imagine everyone is sat smug and feathered while the lefties are feeling the cold? Get a life Ron, we would have been back to more debt and Benefits Street would be in every street. Labour has never been able to balance the books, it's ok to invite thousands of immigrants here and take on mammoth tasks of giving out benefits to everyone who makes a case, large families who have no workers and expect to be paid for their housing etc. Someone has to pay for it in the end. I'm not all right Jack, but I'm feckking sick of picking up the tab for Labour's mistakes.
