Read this earlier and was ordering if any ABer was watching at the time.
Is there a video of it?
several of those comedians of recent times who are considered to be "the dogs", and anyone who admitted to not finding them funny would be branded sooooo appallingly uncool, make careers out of the gratuitous use of expletives - often little else - and the audience wet themselves with hysterics.

maybe if norman smith isn't funny, as you say, he's clearly got some "delivery" learning to do.
what a cu(l)t that norman smith is......
I can't hear anything which is just as well. It's a disgusting word.

There's a video half way down the linked page, talbot.
I suppose we should be thankful that Jeremy Hunt isn't the Culture Secretary any more.
Why Jim? I have never heard of a Hulture Secretary before.....
If you listen to the link, all that happens is that Norman Smith slips on the word 'cult' and mispronounces it.

He corrects himself straight afterwards, I don't see that it is a big deal at all.

No it's not funny - he's the BBC's Political Editor, not Jimmy Carr!
Takes one to know one!!!
It wouldn't be funny even if he were a comedian.
I bet he was embarrassed!!

But it's quite funny.

yup
Even easier to make the slip if you are part of the left leaning BBC. He must have had it on his mind.
John Inverdale did the same during an interview saying "Rose c---ed glasses", must be a BBC thing, full of em
So is it funny or isn't it?
Seemed quite amusing on HIGABMNFY
