I have had a gift card for M&S for £50 since Christmas. I have made numerous visits to their stores all over the country and can't find anything to buy with it. I am tempted to spend it on food but it doesn't seem right somehow.

The only things I buy in M&S these days are their plain black straight leg trousers and knickers .The rest of their clothes are a load of c.ap.
Nearly two hundred notes for a skirt ..lol..no wonder their sales are down .
They closed our local M&S and moved it to an out of town shopping place where they now only sell food. Their food sales are up according to todays news ,but who on earth does a weekly shop at M&S at their prices .

I have to smile at Mikey's misogynistic and inaccurate take on this. It IS the prawn sandwich and the food hall in general that has propped M&S up over the past few years.

The skirt does nothing and their clothes in general really don't float my boat.

The wife of an old friend of mine once made the mistake of checking in for a flight from Heathrow to Los Angeles, in Economy class, wearing tight leather trousers. I can't repeat verbatim what her comments were about this 12 hour nightmare but extreme sweatiness came into it ....well, you can imagine can't you !
