Email Problem...
Hi, I have my email account both on my laptop & my ipad. I deleted some emails from the ipad and they where all deleted from my laptop too, I didn't think that would happen can I stop it deleting from both in the future.

That ought not happen unless you are simply accessing the server from both the laptop and the iPad instead of downloading the e-mail to each. If you only ever access e-mail for the server then it matters little what you were using to access it. a delete from the server is a delete regardless what you were using. Make sure you are using an e-mail client on both...

Make sure you are using an e-mail client on both laptop and iPad. Set it up so that one only (probably the laptop) deletes from the server after it downloads; and things should work better.

There are 2 protocols for email - pop and imap.
Lets assume you access your email theoug a program on the computer.
If the program accesses the email server via pop, then it takes the message from the email server and stores it on the computer - unless you have told it otherwise.
If it uses imap, then you are looking at your emails directly on the email server - so if you delete an email using the computer and then use another computer or tablet etc. to check the email you won't see the deleted email.
