FIFA IOC HSBC UBS all are based in Switzerland or have branches here. Is it coincidense they are all mired in scandal or is it that the Swiss government is constantly turning a blind eye to tgeir corrupt practices?

I quote from today's issue of The Times.
"Switzerland is one of the countries with the least corruption in the world"
The Swiss are obviously acutely embarrassed because they value their reputation for probity. It is probably this reputation for probity which attracts corrupt organisations which think that having a base in Switzerland will appear to give them a respectability they do not deserve.

What about those Swiss bank accounts where some unsavoury dictators hid away their ill-gotten gains?
They may not really deserve their reputation for probity.

Heard on 'Today', yesterday that bribery is not a crime in Switzerland. I am finding this hard to believe, but peripheral inputs seem to agree.
