Tracking Mail From Usa

I bought something from Ebay that has a tracking number sent from California,I have not received it yet and the last update on the tracking was departed from London on 18th April , is there any way that the Royal mail can help me or do I now assume that it has been lost, I already notified the seller but they keep saying wait a bit longer

I don't think so. Same way that if we sent something abroad, it's tracked until it leaves our shores, just hopeful after that.

The Royal Mail website says this:
"Was your mail sent to the UK from outside the UK? Although we deliver the mail once it arrives in the UK, you still need to go back to the original sending company for help if your mail has not arrived on time.

Contact the postal service or authority used to send the mail. If necessary, they will contact us to make enquiries on your behalf".

I thought that was probably the case ,thanks, so its a good job I started a case on ebay to claim a refund before it was too late
