My Ex In-Laws...
9 Answers
still think of me. I had an unexpected package in the post this morning. It brought a few tears to my eyes. A bundle of hand painted Christmas cards sent to them by my mum in the late '80s,and a pair of very old Doulton Lambeth salt and pepper shakers that I'd always admired.
They are both 82,and moving to a retirement home...and very kindly thought of me. I've not seen them in 10 years...it's hard to imagine them slowing down,as they were the busiest people I've ever known. They restored an old property in scotland when in their late 50s,and took on a wreck of a 17th c house in their late 60s to early 70s.
