I have a question about PPI can anybody help with this myself and my mother took out a loan ten years ago on the loan only myself was covered by the PPI but the loan was joint sadly my mum passed away but I raised a complaint against the company and they made me an offer and I accepted when I mentioned that the loan was joint and they should pay for my mother they said the offer was just for me but my mother had other loans with myself and when I made a claim for PPI they gave me both payments what I would like to know is this happened to anyone else and should I persue this matter
Like Chrissa I do not find this very clear. As I read it you had a joint loan with your mother but only took PPI for yourself, the lender has admitted mis-selling and made you an offer of repayment which you have accepted. If there was no cover for your Mother, they cannot have mis-sold to her and therefore there is no refund to offer.
What I am asking is if one loan company paid out on the loan when my mother was not covered by PPI but the loan was joint why is this company not doing the se
The company should pay the value of the premiums back including 8% interest to the person who paid the premium but if you have proof the loan was in joint names that should be enough. Pursue it again or ask the Citizens advice for help.
