Are they overpaid, - Some are.
Over rated, - Some are.
Full of themselves, - A few maybe.
Spoilt Bratts, - Hard to say.
Love themselves - Am sure some do.
Do not give a toss about their fans, - I think lots care about fans.
No respect of their fans? - I think lots respect fans.
A slight generalisation IMO, but I know what you mean. I'm sure most are thoroughly decent people, earning a great deal of cash for being fortunate enough to be able to play the game to a high level. Good for them if they can make the most of it. On the other hand, yes, there are some proper dingbats out there ( mostly English??) who seem to think they are above the rest of us mere mortals. I find some of their behaviour unsavoury.
What the lady above said!
Although some are paid in figures resembling telephone numbers, the majority are not. And we must remember that a footballers career, on average, is about 15 - 20 years, depending upon when they began their careers.

Some are vastly over-rated, some are equally under-rated (for instance, those who do all the donkey work for the 'stars' of the side.

There are spoilt brats in all walks of life, ditto people who love themselves.

And i would suspect that most footballers wish to have a connection with their team's supporters and will therefore respect them. And, imho, it is the foreign mercenary types (who are here for the odd season or two, attracted by the wagses) who tend not to respect the fans, rather than 'home-grown' players.
compared to FIFA execs

it is just about right ....
Ken, even though their career is only 15-20 years, they still earn more in a week than most people earn in a year.
They?

All of them?
Premier League players, I doubt any of them earn less than £20k a week
The average wage for a lower league player is around 50,000
I was talking of the majority of footballers, PankySmooch, and the majority of players do not ply their trade in the Premier League. I know that my team (Burnley) operate on a two-tier wage system and have done for quite some time. Our players were probably the lowest paid in the Prem last season and i dare say they will be nowhere near the highest paid in the Championship, next season.

True, they will earn much more than the ordinary working man, but then you may as well level that charge against nearly all professional sportsmen, actors, actresses, singers, etc, etc.
TWR, your post has described Mario Ballotelli to a tee
'Yes' to all of the above. I have hated football with a deep loathing for about 45 years now!
