I need to translate the phrase 'You are too early' into the above languages. I'm OK with German, but need advice with the others. Anyone help, please?

In French, I'd say it'd be :

Tu es en avance. ( fam )

Vous �tes en avance. ( formal/plural )

SteveD's version makes sense, but he gave a literal translation, which you wouldn't use in French.

Just to add another bit here, you can use SteveD's translation if you add a verb to it:

Tu es arriv� trop tot. ( you came too early )

Vous �tes arriv�s trop tot. ( same as above )

Tot takes an accent ( see SteveD's answer ), but now I can't remember the keyboard shortcut for it...:-).

Maximo. What is the difference between Tu sei troppo presto and Tu sei troppo veloce?

I'm not an expert on Italian ( I'm French ), but :

Presto means "early" in this case ( although sometimes it can mean "quick" too...bit confusing, I know ! ), and "veloce" means "quick", or "fast" ( it never means early ).

Thanks for your help, maximo. By the way, I also have French blood. My great x 6 Grandfather, Jean Artois, married a girl called Elizabeth Mons at Gloucester Saint Mary's church in 1746. I assume that Mons is also a French surname.
