The AnswerBank Editorial stand on this issue has been made clear.

‘’In Quizzes and Puzzles we occasionally have users decrying the posting of questions from a Quiz which has not been out very long or where the setter has asked those entering not to use site such as this. It is "dishonourable" to go against the wishes of the setter. However, we will not remove the question. This is a Q&A site after all. It is suggested that those wishing not to know the answer simply do not read the question.

Have you not noticed that some people who answer like to know what the setter has said and often say they then wont answer. I guess not
I did not decry the asker I just posted what the setter had asked
and it does say it is dishonourable to go against the wishes of the setter and as carolmay1 knows that I thought others should too. Now you can have this one removed too in your usual way of watching for anything I post. I notice someone else commented on a quiz about the same time as I did and you havent had them removed. I wonder why. Mamylynne also posts such threads regularly now and you dont have her removed either.

I do agree, people can ignore the setter's requests and ask on here.


However equally, we other AB users and Quizzers can inform those thinking of answering of those requests, then everyone has all the information they need to make up their minds.
