Never go into the sport category, but this is news at the moment. With Wayne Rooney having broken his foot, is this just the first of many incidents which will give the FA an excuse for England not winning the World Cup? (Or am I just being cynical?)

the stupid thing is my dad is english and my mum is italian and i live in scotland!!!

yes, and I am entitled to state my point too and the fact you repeated my mention of 1966 in the way you did gave me the impression thats all you saw and saw it as a chance to have another dig at someone English like you did in one of your previous posts.

nope that wasnt the way it was meant to come accross so i apologise if you took anything the wrong way....i am amazed however that i am the only one here who got hassle when there are at least 3 other posts stating the same thing!!! i do agree with scotman tho because all we will get now, is, if england dont win, the commentators and others will be saying "we didnt win cos rooney wasnt playing"....he's not that good!!!!

i wouldnt have a dig at anyone who is english or any other nationality because as i said my dad is english and he actually agrees that SOME english fans and commentators do like to drag out the aforementioned year....but i guess if the scots won it they would do the same thing! i found it amazing that just because wayne rooney is out, english fans are contemplating suicide!!

i know this is a wild and crazy idea, but what if Engalnd actually wins the World Cup without Wayne Rooney? what will the press say then!?!

(i do realise this is highly unlike scenario - but stranger things have happened, just can't think of any of them!!)
