I make no apologies for hating the use of bad language - we all have (and are entitled to) our opinions and people who use bad language are, to my way of thinking inconsiderate and incredibly bad mannered. I have no respect for those who use it.

It doesn't bother me. I think calling a lady aslutoraslag is far more insulting.

Why is there such a big issue over the 'C' word

I hate that word - I don't mind the 'f' word and the 'b' word (as in men's testicles) is my favourite swear word
I find it even more galling that a man in a position of authority uses it against a women - even more so when it's to humiliate her in front of a few hundred people - its bullying

That's ok Bathsheba - I'm giving you best answer for a bit
Haha...the 'b' word is my fav also. I think swear words directed at women are much more "personal", as in directed at the individual.
No swear word is acceptable when used in an aggressive manner.

Make the punchlines of some jokes much funnier though.

Well Talbot - Bathsheba may have thought I was offended by her mistaking my post for someone else. Just to show I'm not I gave her best answer for a little while - you may notice I have now given you it

Don't thank me ;-))
Bless her she was doing her job and so was the steward.

I can see both points of view here, so no winner... except Elton tried to make amends.

These people soon forget who put them in the public / limelight don't they.
Elton John is a well known Queen. Unfortunately Elton John sometimes thinks or imagines he is THE Queen. Let me state quite categorically H M The Queen has poise, bearing & good manners. E J would do well to learn these traits.
I apologised because I think that acknowledging a real life friend in someone else's thread is a bit excluding for others ;)
