Colemans Chicken Casserole Sachets...do Not Buy It !!

twice ive used this, i should have learnt after 1st time around, but i thought it was my fault and that maybe i had put something into it which was not meant. anyway there is a putrid horrible taste to this stuff , the worst possible sachet of so called food ingrediants i have ever tasted in my life, absolutely revolting.

anyone else think the same ?

For goodness sakes...stop buying those packets. Just get yourself some herbs and spices,and a good basic cookbook like Delia Smith,or...even better...Nigel Slater if you want flavour

OG, you could use only half of the packet, the other half will keep.

another thing not to buy, the new tesco hot chilli paste ( not hot ) in the tube.

A lot of us use short cuts and cooks cheats - the trick is finding what works.

The packets are often a let down , tinned soup can be a good addition to a stew or casserole and add flavour.

Build up a stock cupboard of good stock cubes, bouillon and some tins of toms, mixed beans , some dried and or frozen herbs etc.

They will add more than packets ever do.

I bought a packet of soup maybe vegetable from Lidl one day - it is absolutely beautiful because you know what - no salt - I find all other packets of soup loaded with salt but truly this is nice you know of a night you are looking for something tasty - I do make my own and freeze it but try this - really tasty. if you want name Ill leave it for you later as there are varieties.

just a wee tip here dick - a friend of mine gave me a plate of you know regular stew one day but I knew there was something different - afterwards she told me she had added a tin of tomatoes - it was beautiful. Maybe some of yous do that but it was a first for me - lovely and tasty.
