Windows 10

I have reserved a free download of Windows 10 when it comes out in July. I use Windows 7 Home Premium.

Does anyone know the good and bad points of Windows 10 and will it effect Word, Excel etc.

It appears by magic on your bootom toolbar,whatever that is called. Click the icon and you are offered the upgrade.

There are often teething problems with new software so you may want to wait before jumping in.

Windows 10 MAY not formally support certain versions of Word, Excel etc.

While I am sure Microsoft will test them I think there are some versions of Word and Excel which are not officially supported under Windows 8 even.

If you are happy with Windows 7 don't go to Windows 10, certainly not at first.

Also note if you do go to Windows 10 and don't like it you probably wont be able to go back to Windows 7.

It came up on my screen automatically as I already have windows at the bottom left hand corner of the screen. Four little Squares and when clicked on you get a reservation panel. Hope this helps.

I am on Windows 8.1 and also have now reserved Windows 10. Hope I haven't jumped the gun. Time will tell.

I've been using the technical preview of W10 for a few months without problems. Of course there are currently a LOT of updates but I'm confident that W10 will be okay on the official release date.

It is incredibly simple to use, in my opinion, and I have not had any incompatibility problems with either my hardware of the software I use.

I have an article released by Microsoft showing Office 95 running on Windows 10 so should be ok Just don't rush to get it give it a little time for any issues that occur to be fixed up
