Are prisoners allowed to get letters published from Prison ?

A very strange thing to do, if true.
I was under the impression that letters sent from the clink were read by staff before being forwarded but I could be wrong.
I wonder who he imagines would record and distribute his work.
Question Author
He's not doing himself any favours writing such a letter. Maybe as his parole hearing approaches he'll see the light and present himself to them as truly repentant.
If he continues to claim he is innocent he can't be repentent
Perhaps New Judge can fill in here, but this incident must surely begger up his chances of an early release.
//The 84-year-old says he plans to record the song "the moment I get out" - and envisages a "country rock sound with a heavy back beat".//

He'll be lucky! I'd like to know which recording company is going to take that one on.
And it wasn't that long ago that lots of Abers were saying "No, not Rolf, he must be innocent". "Can't believe it".

Any recording company that see a quid in it Naomi.
Johnny Cash managed too.
Was Johnny Cash a paedophile?
Didn't it come out that Johnny Cash didn't actually go to prison?
Murderers, rapists and professional hit-men have been taken on by "promotional" companies upon release. Because they see a profit to be made.

In terms of leaksf rom prison and lack of remorse Shipman was there first

The letters were leaked by prison officers who were tasked with reading and copying them I think - and the governor said he was unable to control the actions of his employees ( !) shades of Sepp Blatter there then

and Shippers when he was confonted with photoes of his victims would turn his chair to the wall. His warder celebrated with a party when he had put shipman onto bread-and-water for the 25th time - all this came out at the inquest into his suicide

IN th end he could only write to Rosemary thro the soliticor whose correspondence is legally privileged

In this case the fried and recipient of the letter leaked it
well HE's off Rolf's christmas card list, innit ?
// Didn't it come out that Johnny Cash didn't actually go to prison?//

so he came out on licence, ....... but it was poetic licence ?

I think there is a statute hurriedly passed a few years ago allowing the govt to help itself to profits made by glorifying crime

books like this by the way -

by one of er my late neighbours
does NOT glorify crime and served I think to shorten his sentence
( by showing contrition and remorse )
