I was once wakened at silly o'clock in the morning by two Policemen looking for directions. Perth is not a huge city and the Police station was just along the road.

Maybe one look at me in my nightie and bed-head hair (and snarling Bullmastiff/GSD) might have scared them off from a planned raid of my flat.

happened to me as well police car with blue light stopped and asked me directions.

I've been stopped by the police several times and asked where I'm going ;-)

Ha ha! No. I went to drop something into a friend’s house (I knew she was out but have a key), and found a police car parked across her drive. I asked the policeman if anything was wrong. It was. He was lost.

Turn right when you come to O'Malley's barn, then left just past the third horse 'til you come upon the grave yard there then turn back and go just three more miles the other way. Can't miss it. Or if you don't mind takin' the short cut . . . it's right there 'cross the street.
