Sims 2 Disk 1- HELP!

I was given the game Sims 2 as a gift, and have waited till I moved house and graduated before I installed it. (Otherwise neither would have happened!) However, I cannot use the game as Disk 1 is damaged all around the edge. I should have looked when I bought it, but hindsight is a wonderful thing...

Where can I get hold of just Disk 1? I only need to borrow it, don't I? (The game will run without this disk, i presume.)

Any superior knowledge appreciated.

Borrowing a disc won't work, you need original disc 1 to run game....If you get the next expansion pack, i think it's university, you will run the game from that disc
