I'm pretty sure that the water itself is filtered (tap) water & whilst that tastes ok, personally, I do particularly like Evian - stupid I know but I think I can distinguish different tastes between bottled waters and Evian - to me - is very "pure" without any aftertaste at all. So ..... I'd have to be convinced about the flavour of the cooler water before committing myself but yes, I'd certainly look into it.
We have had a number of coolers fitted in the school where i work.
The are plumbed into the main water supply but filters the water.
I am not sure of the cost to buy them because we rent them (approx 250 per year plus VAT). I am sure there must be small household sized units but i would definitely look at getting them plumbed in as opposed to having to purchase bottles all the time.
Having seen the scarey statistics about how tap water has to conform to all kinds of health regulations and bottled water doesn't have to, I stick to good old tap water.
The local hills are limestone, so it is already mineral water, and by filling a bottle with water and leaving it in the fridge till the next day, the chlorine has gone and it tastes fine. Just a thought, have you tried doing that? You might save yourself a fortune!
HI,
Totally agree - great idea.
have a look at www.koolbabe.co.uk for a on the counter unit or click on the 'hideaway' link and see the under counter mains connected filtered unit.
