Bios Password On Laptop Need To Remove What Software Is There Please

Hi I have a laptop and it was a second hand one off a car boot, it all powers up etc but has a bios password, so now im sure you see my problem, how can I remove this password, ive tried the removing cmos battery etc and didn't work, ive only had this happen once before and I downloaded some free software that worked a treat, but I lost the disc and cant for life of me find the link were I got the download from. so can anyone help please as need the password to load windows onto the blank hard drive so it a real pain.thanks in advance for any help.
