Finally got a cheque from BA today for a flight delay nearly 5 years ago.
Just under £200 for sitting in Glasgow airport for over 6 hours - doesn't seem enough somehow....
Have you had compensation & how long did you wait?

I took H.Samuel to court over a faulty and not fit for purpose ring that I bought with my birthday money. I got the cost of the ring back, plus compensation and also the cost of all my calls and postage and I waited about 6 months, they eventually settled out of court. I got about £350. But to get that amount off of BA after such a long period is in my opinion really unsatisfactory.
I received £200 compensation for being shot in the 70s
I received £200 compensation for being shot in the 70s - something happened to my first post
I would say you are lucky - I have had several waits of over six hours around the world, find a club lounge (negotiate that if you have to), a good book and hit the chill switch. Access to such lounges can be advantage of having an Amex card, by the way.......

They have tried all sorts to wriggle out of it & I was prompted to have another go after reading a newspaper article about it last week - they gave me the email address of BA chairman ( yeah right ). Someone seems to have noticed my email anyway & this cheque appears out of the blue less than a week later. Happy and annoyed at the same time.
