A 15-hour shift with a 1 hour break in it is perfectly lawful. (The only legal requirement for a break during a 15-hour shift is for a single, unpaid break of 20 minutes).

However a gap of only 9 hours between the end of the Saturday shift and the start of the Sunday one is unlawful; the minimum break there must be one of 11 hours:

I know I think it is disgusting that these people make someone work these long hours. for the £7 an hour pay. THey shouldnt be allowed to get away with it. X
We get a 15 min and 30 min break for 13.25 hour shift
Sounds a bit over the top to me!

That is the world of care, they often just walk all over their carers!
