and really think the eussr will kick them out ?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/economics/11689460/Greeks-make-last-ditch-Merkel-appeal-as-day-of-reckoning-approaches.html

the last thing the eussr wants is to lose nations...theyll take it to the wire and "do a deal"...and from that moment on theyve got Greece under the thumb..literally...total control as a reward for "helping save Greece"

if the Greeks had any sense theyd get out now, suffer some pain and gradually get their country back under their control not the empire builders of the eussr

Bazwillrun The Bubbles (Greeks) have some great quotes: Talk sense to a fool and he calls you foolish. Euripides (c. 480-406 BC, tragedian of classical Athens) maybe you should take heed

The argument as I understand it is over an overspend of 2bn euro by the Greek govt. The EU want further cuts, Syriza are refusing. But there's another load of cash from the EU pending this being sorted out: THAT's the thing.
"incredible - we dont wanna pay for our pensions and we voted firmly against 25% unemployment so why do we have it ?

jaw dropping stuff "

Ok, maybe I was wrong to say that a lot of Greeks are finally seeing some sense :-)

"OP. Your post at 9.49.
"Will allow Greece".
A great improvement over "bubbles".
Well done! "

just about sums up your reading capabilities doesnt it...try reading the OP...bet youre feeling pretty stupid now eh ?
Try not to be so pedantic, OP.
But you have established my point about the vast majority of English speakers struggling with your limited argot. Thank you.
After you leave school and go out into the wide world, things shall be much clearer.
Good day.

@Peter

"if the Greeks" from my original OP

I know youre feeling really embarrassed and stupid at having been shown up so publicly, but dont get too upset over it....Good Day !
I stated, your post at 9.49.
And no, I don't want to know what you mean by "original OP",
Or what "eussr" is slang for.

Nice to know you have a fertile imagination, though!
now i'm confused.

is this thread about the dire situation the greek economy finds itself?

or is it about the etiquette of using colloquialisms in a subject section considered "serious"?

Agree Mushie - there seems to be too much grammatical criticism and not enough discussion of the topic

the solution is they say political and not economic
and this evg - an agreement seems likely -
the Banks were pretty stern earlier today about the effect of uncertainty on the bubble economy
More lightheartedly - I am trying to remember my reading of the 'Billy Bunter' series when I was very small (U.10) If I recall correctly, Mr. Quelch was asking for a translation of a Latin phrase from either Virgil or Horace (sorry, not sure, think Horace is the favourite).

Bunter translated as 'Don't trust the Greeks when bringing gifts'. Mr. Quelch squashed him and translated this as 'I fear the Greeks, even when bringing gifts'.

I've probably got bits wrong (it was 60 years ago!), but I think the point will come over!
