£150m. A mere trifle. 3/4 days of foreign aid money. Some despot in bongo-bongo land will have to wait for his gold-plated swimming pool, or whatever they're wasting money on this year.

According to the BBC this morning, The Royal Family cost each of us 56p last year.
so if there is a vote on what we knock down I would advise you to 'brace yourself!'
;o)

Yes knock it down and build flats. I'm sure the 500,000 plus tourists who visit every year will love to visit the new flats and the millions of pounds in revenue they spend they will go to Windsor or Hampton Court instead. All the people who worked at the Palace will be able to rent the flats and pay using their housing benefit as they will be unemployed. Bliss!
Knocking it down will well and truly send a message to the world

The United Kingdom is ***!

Nah keep it ,no problem what about changing its name .Buck House is a silly name
But it's not called 'Buck House' !!

Originally known as Buckingham House, the building which forms the core of today's palace was a large townhouse built for the Duke of Buckingham in 1703 on a site which had been in private ownership for at least 150 years.
