Icstis have a number checking facility and are also the people to complain to about such scams, I recently had a similar one on my Orange pay monthly and got Orange to refund the cash as I hadn't requested the SMS. Your number came from

2 Ergo Ltd
St Marys Chambers
Haslingdon Road
Rawtenstall
Lancashire
BB4 6QX
01706 221777

Hi all thanks for your help. Just so you know...i tryed there help line (0871 8721813) but they say my mobile number is not registerd in the UK!!! I e-mailed 2 Ergo Ltd (who run the service) and am waiting for a responce. I also found out that 2 Ergo Ltd have been fined over 69,000 (in 7 different cases) by ICSTIS for the same sort of thing. I have complaind to ICSTIS and Trading Standard about the problem and am waiting for them to get back. I have also sent an e-mail to the local newpaper who operate in 2 Ergo's area telling them about the conduct of the company. I am also writting to Watch Dog and Offcom. I don't see how a company can be aloud to operate when they have scammed so many people in the past and been fined for it.
good for you mate, these companies are raking in thousands by their theiving tricks. i hope you screw them! dont let it rest.

Hi....spoke to ICSTIS today. They are going to investigate 2 Ergo Ltd yet again. Also spoke to 2 Ergo myself and were told that they own the number but "rent" it out to a company called "Red Circle" who are based in Dublin. Done some homework and found they had a sister company in London. Spoke to them, they couldn't help but to get me (and others by the sound of things) off there back they told me to speak to "Fran" at the Dublin office. They had gotten lots of complaints before and were sick of covering for him!!! Was told i'd get my call refunded if i called Dublin. Anyway, i called Red Circle in Dublin, got the old "press 1 for this, 2 for that...." ended up picking customer services and got cut off!!! Called back and chose "to speak to some one to pay a bill" option (anything to do with them getting money is a safer bet than customer services) some one pick up straight away...asked to speak to "Fran" got put straight through and got to have a "nice" chat with him....End result? A full refund plus extra to cover my phone bill for all the ringing round i've done. Plus a letter stating my number will be removed from any and all there databases. Oh..and ICSTIS are still going ahead with there investigation. Hehe.

Hi,

I've just read the above chain and I'm having the same problems with 2 ERGO and need a little bit more information from you, if you are OK with that. I am getting the same messages from the 2 ergo company, and I have no idea how to get rid of them and stop them sending the messages. I see that you contacted the ICSTIS...have you got the name of the person you spoke to so I can speak to them also? It would lay weight to the 2 Ergo problem and maybe gee them up a bit.

I also want to go your route and call 2 Ergo, but the above number only allows you to use the automated service.. Did you use another number? I too want to get these guys. Cost me a fortune for something I never subscribed to. I'm really mad. cheers - Laus

Hi..if you were getting the messages from 87066 then first of all you need to ring 2 Ergo and ask them about the messages. YOU MUST NOTE DOWN THE TIME YOU CALLED AND WHO YOU SPOKE TO. You need to do this as ICSTIS can't help you with out that info. 2 Ergo will tell you they own the number but a company called Red Circle operate it. Now ring ICSTIS on 0800 500212 Tell them the problem and that you spoke to xxx at 2 Ergo at xxx time, on xxx day. Tell them they past the buck to someone else. Once you've complained to ICSTIS its time to get your money back. Ok you need to speek to a guy called "Fran" at Red Circle. They're based in Dublin and there number is 00353 12311200 When you call pick option 1 (billing and accounts) and they pick up faster...ask to speek to "Fran" When you speek to Fran explain what happend. He'll ask you for your modile number so he can do a history check on you!! He will then tell you they had a problem with there service and that certain T's and C's sms's where not sent "by mistake" (yeah right) Ask for a refund plus extra for you having to ring them etc and to have your number removed from there promotions list.

If you are getting rubbish from another number linked to 2 Ergo then give them a ring on 01706 221777 and find out who runs that number and then follow what i said above. Make sure you keep notes of who you spoke to and when.

Good luck my friend!!!

Sorry Lozzabent I'll make it clear.....2 Ergo's office number is 01706 221777

The Red Circle number (00353 12311200) includes the Ireland dial code....so you just dial it as i wrote it.

Oh..and it doesn't matter who you speak to at ICSTIS. They treat all complaints the same..but the more complaints they get about a certain company about the same problem, then the more action they can take. Saying that the last action taken again 2 Ergo was from just 1 complaint and they got a 25,000 fine. To see all the action taken against 2 Ergo (as they don't like it when you tell them about there fines) go to

www.icstis.org.uk/consumers/adjudications/default.asp

and select 2 Ergo from the provider list (leave service type and Fines blank)

Again...good luck.
