Labour Voters Prefer The Mail To The Guardian !
4 Answers
For those regular contributors who can't refer to Guardian Readers without unpleasant epithets (e.g. sandal-wearing bearded Lefties) here's an interesting fact.
The Daily Mail has more Labour-supporting readers than the Guardian.
A recent YouGov poll, sampling 100,000 people (a very large sample), indicate that 62% of Guardian Readers voted Labout against 14% of Mail Readers.
But the Mail has 3,866,000 readers against the Guardian's 748,000 (for both papers this is the print version only, not online) according to National Readership Survey.
Converting these numbers shows that 464,000 Guardian Readers voted Labour, but 541,000 Mail Readers voted Labour.
Hence, the Daily Mail has more Labour-supporting readers than the Guardian.
