Funnily enough, I missed it. Something cropped up.
Anyway, just heard it. What a farce. Talking about the 'boat people', Nigel patiently explained the EU position, having just come from the EU meeting about it. Such was the silence I thought my radio had packed in.
Imagine my surprise when Norman Lamb bellowed, 'Let's have some compassion, for God's sake'. Almost crying now, 'These are people, sniff, human beings'. All to such thunderous applause I had to turn the radio down.
Whether Norman's contribution was a revelation to the audience I couldn't say but it pretty much set the tone for the whole programme. 3 panellists, Johnnie Dumbleby and the audience versus Nigel Farage. Thank God the BBC are on their way out.

No-one's bothered to comment so it is either beneath their notice, as they are already firmly committed, or they can't be bothered. :)
