Yes, I think you are correct Mamyalynne. Clues 21a and 24a lead into each other.

21a is: English papers cut standing order for drink ..... ( answer: espresso) then
24a: ...... As well as group in RoyAL SOciety. As well = Also).

I had incorrect entry for 20d so when corrected I had for 24a: A?S?.
