After much searching etc I have been able to get a very old keyboard maybe 15 years old and I am loving it. The keys are not stuck together and a good bit apart which is how I learnt to type.

The Credit Union has given it to me - but there are another 2 keyboards to try out which I will do - some - I will prattle on here just to get the gist of it and so far so good - it is the old white keyboard. as I say another two black ones to try.

I had tried that connector thing to another keyboard but it did not work so this fitted perfectly. Anyway good night guys and will try other keyboards tomorrow just to be sure to be sure. JjCon Then it does need a good clean very much - then I can go on and get on the with the book for my friend.

By the way friend is quite ill - they took the bad lymphnodes away on Tuesday and cut her open from hip to hip so she is very bad as she has already had a hysterectomy along with heart surgery over the years. So sad as she has suffered to much. anyway good night guys.

But Methyl should realise that if he/she wants to post on a site like this to help people then he/she should also realise that not everyone is techie minded and simply do not know what information is needed...or even how to get it...and stop being so patronising all the time.
Fair point well made ummmm

If I may attempt to clear the air here - Methyl, it was your jumping to the conclusion last night that JJ had asked questions when she hadn't and made it clear she was getting the feel of the newly acquired keyboard.

So your telling her to post elsewhere looked rather arrogant, a simple mistake that an admission of error would have cleared up in no time.

We all make mistakes, no shame in that.
Agree the Tech Guidelines are a good idea for updating
I know this Methyl. But try and read it from a technophobes point of view. Some people don't even know what an operating system is.

Also Methyl, you may need all that tech info to solve a very basic enquiry, everybody appear to solve most issues without all that info.

Just because you know a lot about computers, doesn't make those who do not "idiots" , your word. We're all good at different things.

Thanx for that and good to know that you are referencing "the posters in Technology". However, this thread was posted in "Chatterbank" and in fact your original reply was "This is Chatterbank......etc" No "technology" was therefore required, only general "chat" ...Lets just get on and enjoy the site, life's too short I think!
Ethyl, these so called "idiots" are the ones getting the results, not you! from what I have noticed.
