Cleaning Burned Grot Off A Steam Iron
1 Answers
Now I'm not a housewifey type and defo no Martha Stewart, which is probably how I manage regularly to singe sticky stuff onto my iron which then ruins the iron.
This video seems wacko but actually works - I used it the method this afternoon with a tesco paracetamol. Well, two paracetamols as it was a big burn.
Probably best if you 'don't inhale'.... but my goodness it really works.

Oh perfect, thank you Mosaic. How did you know that I knocked the iron over last night and it caught the carpet before I had time to grab it?! A minor mark on the carpet but a sticky mess on the iron. I will try that solution later. I love the way she touches the base to see if its hot - sort of thing I'd do!
