I confess, I once once had 46 endorsements on my licence and never got banned, this was under the totting up act, and many years ago.
Yes, he said that he would lose his job and not be able to repay his debts if he was banned !.

Yes and the magistrate.

Ridiculous. I hope the magistrates will feel pleased with themselves if, the next time the pillock speeds, he kills someone.
It's an absolute farce. The man clearly believes he's a special case and has convinced a gullible official that he is.
So what if he loses his job? He's been a knob and should be punished accordingly.
Maybe have the powers that be investigate the magistrate while we're at it, see if they're the full shilling.
Extraordinary story ! If I have read the link correctly, he was caught doing 109 mph, in a 50 zone !

This is clearly not right. I smell the rat of corruption here. I wonder if the Essex Police are allowed to appeal such a lenient sentence, as it isn't in their
interest, or ours, for somebody to continue to be a menace on our roads.
There needs to be more stringent rules for,the appointment of Magistrates. They are supposed to,value social responsibility very highly. This bunch of muppets obviously don't!
