One strutting around in all his finery - obviously the cock which got the 'hen' (doing the girlie duties on the nest?) and a bedraggled cock which had been savaged by something or other and has lost most of his fine feathers. He is improving in appearance by the day as he scavenges round our bird feeding areas. We're happy to have them both and can't wait until the 'youngsters' come visiting again too. Hope the glorious 12th doesn't get any of them. 'Fortunately for them AND us, 'our' farmer doesn't allow shooting on his land.
